The tenants are MECS Inc., the successor company to Monsanto Enviro-Chem Systems, and Suburban Journals of St. Louis, a subsidiary of Lee Enterprises. Burt Follman and Tim Balk of Solon Gershman Inc., an Oncor International affiliate, represented the seller. Follman was managing general partner of the selling group, says a Solon spokeswoman.
She says she can't divulge the lease rate that the two tenants are paying. However, the average rate in the area is between $21 to $22 per sf, the spokeswoman tells GlobeSt.com. "The Highway 40 Corridor is a very desirable area in St. Louis, there's a lot of office buildings to compete with," she says.
