Tom O'Leary of Cushman & Wakefield of Connecticut represented General Re in the lease negotiations. Exclusive leasing agent, Paul Kauffman of Cushman & Wakefield of Connecticut, represented the building owner, an affiliate of Yardley, PA-based BPG Properties Ltd. in the transaction.

"General Re considered several space alternatives in Fairfield County but ultimately decided that it was in their best interest to renew at 35 Nutmeg Dr.," O'Leary says. "The property offers a great working environment in a convenient and accessible location for its employees."

BPG vice president Jennifer Bowlby adds, "We believe that General Re's decision to remain long term at 35 Nutmeg Dr. demonstrates the attractiveness of the building's location as well as our commitment to providing professional, responsive management to our tenants."

With the deal, the three-story office flex building is currently more than 85% leased. Its major tenants include: ITT Flygt, Nasdaq and the Gartner Group.
