Bixby bought the 18-acre business center in 2006 and recently renovated the building that Skechers occupies in a repositioning play for Bixby, which is headed by Bill Halford, president and CEO. The new 140,000-sf building will be developed next to the Skechers building, which is situated on 11.13 acres of the 18-acre site.
Both Bixby and Skechers were represented by the CB Richard Ellis team of Darla Longo, Jim Koenig, David Consani and Joey Sugar in the 15-month lease. The 231,444-sf warehouse represents an expansion for Skechers.
Terms of the Skechers lease were not disclosed. Average asking lease rates for industrial space in the Inland Empire are running about 42 cents to 44 cents per sf per month, triple net, according to the latest quarterly market report by CB Richard Ellis.
