Express Scripts has started moving in more than 1,000 employees to the 315,000-sf building on the college campus. The move marks the first time a Fortune 500 company has relocated its headquarters to a public university campus, says a Clayco spokeswoman. The building will have a three-story atrium with a suspended glass staircase and glass curtain wall, and a lower-level cafeteria that overlooks a lake. Ron Rolfes, Clayco's project manager for the building, did not return calls for comment on this story.

The new building is on a 16-acre annex site to the $400 million NorthPark, a redevelopment of a former residential community near Lambert International Airport, said McEagle president Chris McKee in a previous GlobeSt.com interview . He said that NorthPark will have up to six million sf, mostly industrial buildings but with up to 1.5 million sf of office development. General office lease rates in the area are at about $14 per sf, he said.
