Cantor Colburn will relocate approximately 120 employees, including about 60 attorneys, from its Bloomfield office at 55 Griffin Park South to the Hartford office building. The law firm is expected to move into its space at 20 Church St. before year's end.
CB Richard Ellis is the exclusive leasing agent for the property with Patrick Mulready, John McCormick, and Alexis Augsberger handling the assignment.
"Since the Hampshire Cos.' acquisition of 20 Church St. in 2006 and recent renovations to the building, leasing activity has raised occupancy from 23% to 43% at the property," says Mulready. "We expect levels of activity to continue to increase and the lease with Cantor Colburn is a good indicator that they will."
"We are proud to be a part of Downtown Hartford's revitalization," adds Norman Feinstein, executive managing director of the Hampshire Cos. "The Hampshire Cos. remain committed to providing quality locations and properties that suit tenant requirements and needs completely."
Hampshire Cos. officials say the Hampshire Partners Fund VI is a commingled, discretionary value-added real estate investment fund. The focus of investment for the fund is on industrial, retail and suburban office product located in the growth corridors of the Northeast and Mid-Atlantic regions, they add.
