Voit Commercial Expands With 10 New Hires

"We've been expanding our presence and picking up market share, and to do that more we need more players," Pierce says. The 10 new hires, most of them from Trammell Crow and Colliers International, join a staff that moved in October from Voit's previous office at 18500 Von Kaman Ave. to new space at 2020 Main St. in Irvine.

Pierce tells GlobeSt.com that Voit has about 10,300 sf in its new office, compared with 7,300 sf in the old space. "We had been in the same space for 20 years, so we felt that it was time to expand into larger space and to get a new look," Pierce says.

Voit's new hires include senior vice presidents John Harty, Mike Hartel, Kevin Turner, Walter Frome III and Bill Livesay; vice presidents Joe Winkelmann, Mike Coppin and Jason Hanck; associate Travis Haining and runner Kent Turner. Harty, Frome, Livesay and Coppin formerly were with Trammell Crow, while Hartel, Turner, Winkelmann and Haining were with Colliers International. Hanck was the founder of Hanck Commercial Real Estate/Ethos Property Group.

Voit Commercial operates primarily in sales and leasing of office and industrial properties, and its new brokers have records as top performers that will expand the firm's capacity in those sectors, Pierce says. The new hires will specialize in various geographic areas of Southern California as well as related aspects of the business, such as land development.

Pierce says that Orange County is the strongest market for Voit, which he notes has ranked second in the county for the past six years in terms of gross revenues. The company has the highest revenue production per broker in the county, he says.

In addition to its expansion in Irvine, Voit Commercial most likely will expand the brokerage staff in its Anaheim Metro office and is considering some new office locations, Pierce tells GlobeSt.com. Besides Irvine and Anaheim, the firm also maintains offices in Chula Vista, San Diego and Las Vegas.
