Bower, who recently marked her 25th year with CB Richard Ellis, has held the senior managing director post in Orange County since 2004. She will continue to maintain an office in at the Newport Beach branch as a CBRE employee, doing consulting work on a part-time basis as projects arise, according to Steve Swerdlow, president of the company's western division.
Moore tells GlobeSt.com that taking on his new role in Orange County will be like coming home. "I live in Orange County, I began my career in the Newport Beach office and I spent many years in the Anaheim office, so I am looking forward to going back and being a part of the region again," he says.
Moore built a leading retail brokerage business at CBRE in the Orange County market before joining the management ranks as managing director in Anaheim three years ago. During his tenure in the Inland Empire, CBRE has posted growth of 20% to 25% yearly in the market.
Moore observes that the Orange County he is returning to "is a more mature market and a more urban market than it was when I started there 20 years ago," whereas the Inland Empire region that he has headed for the past two years is more like Orange County was 20 years ago. As Orange County has matured, it has evolved into a more urban region with high-density residential projects such as high-rise condominium towers and mixed-use developments sprouting throughout the county.
Swerdlow says that he and Lew Horne, CBRE executive managing director in Los Angeles, are in the process of finding a replacement for Moore in the Inland Empire. He notes that Bower plans to devote more time to her interests in wildlife preservation and environmental conservation, as well as a number of other personal interests.
Bower joined CBRE in 1982 in the Beverly Hills asset services department, where she was the nation's top producing professional for management and transaction fees. She was promoted to managing officer of asset services in Newport Beach in 1991 and for the next five years held managing director roles in Anaheim, Riverside and Newport Beach before taking on her current role as senior managing director.
