SANTA ANA, CA-HD Supply Repair & Remodel, a division of Home Depot, has signed a 10-year lease for 95,017 sf of space in two warehouse buildings that represent an expansion for the company, according to Voit Commercial Brokerage. Mike Bouma of the Anaheim office of Voit Commercial, who was part of a Voit team that represented the Home Depot division, says that the new space provides room for the tenant to expand as its business grows.
Bouma teamed with Jeff Mitchell of the Irvine office of Voit Commercial in representing HD Supply. The company's new space is at 1044 E. Fourth St.
Bouma comments that with more than 5,000 acres of Santa Ana now undergoing redevelopment, "this building will be a great location for HD Supply Repair & Remodel to expand." Mitchell points out that the lease represents the culmination of a "complex deal that took over one year to complete and pass through the entitlement process in the City of Santa Ana."
HD Supply Repair & Remodel's commitment to the space is expected to help revitalize and rejuvenate the Fourth Street area, a part of the city that Santa Ana officials are very focused on redeveloping, the Voit brokers point out. The two warehouse buildings that HD Supply has leased sit on a site of 4.3 acres and were constructed in the 1960's.
HD Supply is planning an extensive renovation of the buildings to customize them for its own specific needs, and the company also plans to upgrade the surrounding area. Northern California-based HD Supply Repair & Remodel supplies home improvement products and building materials to remodeling contractors, to the trades and to home improvement specialists throughout California.
The HD Supply lease is valued at $6.3 million. The company's new space is in buildings owned by Seidner Trading Co. & Borchard-Temecula LP, which was represented by Brad Bierbaum and Sandy Nalle of CB Richard Ellis.
