The company, which develops and produces high performance heat shields for the automotive industry and its system suppliers, will use the space to house its North American headquarters, manufacturing and engineering facilities. Darren Ross, of Grubb and Ellis, represented Sevex in the transaction.
"The facilities at Golden Park are ideal for our growing US operations," says Sevex North America CEO Georg Heidelman, in a prepared statement. "The Greater Metropolitan Atlanta area has proven to be a good choice for us and we are pleased to be able to work with Majestic Realty to create this new facility."
Golden Park Commerce Center is owned by City of Industry, CA-based Majestic Realty Co. It has access to Interstate 985, Interstate 85, Buford Highway and Peachtree Industrial Highway. Majestic vice president Todd Carter tells GlobeSt.com that the building was one of two completed during the first phase of construction at Golden Park Commerce Center. Also completed during the first phase was a 98,210-sf building, of which 41,000 sf is occupied. Sevex, which will occupy the space beginning in November, is relocating and expanding from its existing operations in Gwinnett County. "The signing of the Sevex lease has allowed us to move forward with plans for the second phase, which will include 300,000 sf of industrial space," Carter says.
