When fully leased, the retail site will have about 100 stores, six sit-down restaurants and a 14-screen Showcase Cinemas. The project will include a two-story, 204,000-sf Dillard's, a one-story, 97,500-sf J.C. Penney, Barnes & Noble and P.F. Chang's China Bistro. Some retailers announced recently are Aeropostale, American Eagle Outfitters, Bath & Body Works, The Children's Place, Gap/Gap Kids, Hot Topic, Kay Jewelers, Limited Too, Red Robin and Victoria's Secret. "There's more retailers signed than these 29, we're more than 80% leased," a GGP spokesman tells GlobeSt.com, "but they have not allowed us to name them yet."

He says the company decided to build the office park due to local demand. No tenants have been signed for these buildings, either, though negotiations are ongoing, the spokesman says. The office park will also feature a Staybridge Suites Hotel. The spokesman says he doesn't know the planned lease rate for the park.

The company had planned a 1.2-million-sf regional mall on the site, at the intersection of US-24 and I-475, south of Toledo, on property that the city of Toledo had sold to the city of Maumee. However, GGP revised its plans to 110 acres of open-air retail around a half-acre, man-made lake. The property should be open by Oct. 3, with the business park opening in 2008.
