Site work has commenced on the 34-story tower that is expected to take approximately 18 months. Since sales began in early June, officials with the developers say that more than 20% of the 170 planned luxury condominium residences have been sold. Units are priced from $670,000 for a one-bedroom to more than $3 million for duplex penthouse units.

Trump Parc Stamford is being developed by New York City-based developer Donald J. Trump, locally based Thomas L. Rich of F.D. Rich Co. and Louis R. Cappelli of Cappelli Enterprises of Valhalla, NY. While Trump has developed a number of luxury condo properties in Westchester County in partnership with Cappelli, Trump Parc is their first venture in the Nutmeg State.

"We've been experiencing excellent sales activity over the past few months and expect the pace to accelerate in the weeks ahead," says Jessica Rohm, senior managing director of sales and marketing for Cappelli Enterprises. She adds that Trump Parc Stamford "is generating tremendous buzz among brokers and buyers alike. There is a huge pent-up demand in the Stamford area for the Manhattan-style luxury that we're offering."

She notes that to date approximately 60% of the buyers at Trump Parc are from Fairfield County, CT, while 20% currently reside in Manhattan, most of whom currently work in Stamford in the financial services sector and are presently undertaking a daily "reverse commute" from New York City.

The Trump Parc property, located at One Broad St., sits across the street from the University of Connecticut's Stamford campus and a few blocks from the UBS headquarters, the Royal Bank of Scotland building currently under construction as well as the Stamford Transportation Center.

Some of the amenities at Trump Parc Stamford include 24-hour concierge/doorman, landscaped terrace, indoor swimming pool, full-service health club, wireless lounge, billiards and screening rooms, rooftop private observation deck and a car spa.

The partners held a groundbreaking ceremony in May, as GlobeSt.com previously reported, and at that time they said construction would start in few months.
