The hotel, at 572 N. Indian Canyon Dr., was built in 1936 and was a favorite of Hollywood celebrities for many years. The Spanish Colonial hotel sits on a three-acre site that is extensively landscaped and is within walking distance of the Palm Springs strip, the convention center and other amenities.
Steven Ohren, chairman and founder of Pacifica Capital, calls the Colony Palms "a historic hotel at the epicenter of the enormous change that is occurring in Palm Springs." Pacifica believes the city is in the early stages of a major renaissance, as illustrated by plans for a Mondrian and a Hard Rock Hotel as well as a major expansion of the Spa Hotel and Casino.
