"I was hired to create national development services group that will provide real estate development services to corporate, institutional and government customers," he tells GlobeSt.com. "Essentially, it would be a fee-based development service in which we would work with an entity starting with the definition of the idea, site selection, hiring a development team including an architect, engineer and construction company, as well as management services."
Reutershan is in the process of identifying where he needs to add to the 30-plus product managers and consulting staff already in house in order to deliver this new service. "I anticipate that we will be hiring between 10 to 15 people over the next two years," he says. The business plan the company has outlined expects the new service to bring in between $10 million to $12 million in fees a year once it is fully ramped up.
Reutershan, who came on board about a month ago, is in the process of talking with several prospective clients, he says. The service itself, he adds, should be ready to go within 90 days.
Previously Reutershan was with the General Services Administration's Public Buildings Service, where he was the assistant commissioner for the Office of National Customer Services Management and a member of PBS's Operating Committee. Prior to that, he spent eight years as the managing partner of Concord Partners LLC, overseeing corporate and institutional projects and services.
