Laird is moving its headquarters from Earth City to the Ridge Center building, at 16401 Swingley Ridge Rd. The company is a unit of London-based Laird Group PLC, and is a supplier of electronics products for various industries. The company is locating its executive management, business management, sales and marketing and other office operations to the Ridge Center building, and will retain its 3481 Rider Trail South, Earth City building for research and development purposes.
CB Richard Ellis represented Laird, and Sarann Leonard represented the building owner, Sachs Properties. Leonard says the asking rate in the building is $26 per sf. "A few of the main employees live in the area, making it convenient," she tells GlobeSt.com. "It also confirms what we're doing as far as amenities at our project."
Cisco is seeking LEED Silver certification for its new space. The company's new offices use green elements, such as materials with recycled content, environmentally-friendly paints and furniture and devices such as individual workstation lights, according to a Sachs press release. Andrew Sheir from Jones Lang LaSalle represented Cisco, and Leonard represented Sachs.
Ridge Center is part of Sachs' $5-billion Chesterfield Village project. The development includes more than one million sf of office space in 20 buildings, two retail centers and eight restaurants, as well as residential homes.
