Both the buyer and the seller were represented by Matthew G. Bittick, senior vice president of investment sales and leasing for the Pacific Region of Houston-based PM Realty Group, who also represented the building owner in the lease with Hawaii Health Systems Corp. PMRG reports that Hawaii Health Systems plans to expand its outpatient services from Hilo Hospital to the new freestanding facility.
Hawaii Health Systems is the sole tenant of the Hilo Medical Building, which was built specifically to accommodate a medical services provider. "Medical office buildings are in short supply and, therefore, in high demand," Bittick notes.
