The new owner, based in Bellmawr, has some upgrades in the works for its latest acquisition. The hotel will keep its Wyndham Garden brand, at least for now.
"The investor had an opportunity to buy and firmly position the Wyndham Garden in a strategic, expanding market," says Mark von Dwingelo, an SVP for JLL Hotels. "With a renovation, attractive rebranding options and continued development in the area, the hotel is in a position to experience significant upside potential, which will drive both occupancy and average daily room rate."
With the acquisition, Northstar now has five Garden State hostelries within its eight-state portfolio. Besides the Wyndham Garden here, the other New Jersey properties are the Crowne Plaza in Cherry Hill, the Fairfield Inn in Absecon, and Holiday Inns in Saddle Brook and Somerset.
