Hanovia was represented in the transaction by Trevor Patterson and Terry Armstrong of Grubb & Ellis' local office. The Roseland-based Grace Properties was represented in-house by manager John Illengwarth. Terms were not released.

Hanovia Specialty Lighting, formerly known as Hanovia Colight, makes UV lamps, power supplies and reflector assemblies. The company was founded more than a century ago in Newark, where it remained for decades.

"They relocated a number of times prior to their last stay in Union," Patterson tells GlobeSt.com. "In 2007, the company changed ownership and the decision was made to locate a new facility that was more efficient and conducive to their business model. The building at 6 Evans was able to fulfill those needs."
