The project included the addition of five operating rooms, which were integrated with the hospital's existing surgical department and the addition of 20 patient rooms in the Adult Surgical Heart Unit. The project also included the addition of a testing laboratory, central sterile department, physicians' lounge and a 245-seat auditorium and conference center was also added to the hospital for clinical education, according to a company statement. The hospital's neonatal and prenatal intensive care units were also renovated as part of the project. HDR was the project architect.
