Designed by the Los Angeles architectural firm Koning Eizenberg, the luxury rental apartment project will include 5,000 sf of ground floor retail space and on-site parking. Tooley, president of Tooley Interests, says that his firm "envisioned a project where residents could park their car on Friday and not have to use it again until Monday." The new project is close to shopping, restaurants, the beach and other amenities.
The design of the retail space considers Venice residents' desire for smaller businesses rather than larger chains. The retail space features 120 feet of frontage on Abbot Kinney Boulevard and 40 feet on the north side of Venice Boulevard.
All Abbot Lofts include stainless steel appliances, washer/dryer, and exposed concrete, hardwood and carpet flooring. In addition, the lofts offer secure, two-car parking in a subterranean garage. Of the 22 apartments available, two units are offered as affordable housing for lower income residents.
