Before joining Voit, Slocum most recently was a senior vice president for the Irvine-based Sares-Regis Group, where he was responsible for the acquisition and remediation of Brownfield site projects throughout Southern California. At Voit, he will be responsible for identifying under-utilized, environmentally impacted Brownfield sites throughout the West. He will also oversee the entitlement and acquisition of these sites, as well as each site's remediation redevelopment.
Among the Brownfield projects that Voit has developed in Southern California are the 30-acre Brea Business Park in Brea, a site for the Kwikset subsidiary of Black & Decker site in Anaheim, the 480,000-sf Burbank Airport Commerce Center in Burbank, a FreshPoint headquarters facility, a retail and entertainment project called the Plant at the former General Motors assembly plant in Van Nuys and Tustin Gateway Business Park, a former Steelcase facility that Voit redeveloped into a business park.
Slocum, in addition to his experience with Sares-Regis, has managed redevelopment projects and programs for General Motors, General Electric, Ford Motor Co., Dow Chemical, the US Navy, the Air Force and the Army.
