The Commons consists of 303 units on 34.3 acres off the Tolland Turnpike here at 30 Catherine's Way. Among the 13 buildings, there are an indoor heated swimming pool, jacuzzi, steam room, tennis and volleyball courts, valet dry cleaning and a children's playground. The apartments contain one, two or three bedrooms built between 1998 and 1999. The units range in size from 690 sf to 1,348 sf and vary in price from $1,040 to $1,725 with six to 12-month leasing options.
"Waterford Commons offered the new owner nominal risk, long-term financial stability and superior location with exceptional demographics," Witten explains in a statement. He and Victor Nolletti, also VP investmenst and senior director of New Haven-based Marcus & Millichap's Multihousing Group, are representing the buyer and seller, both undisclosed. The pair previously worked the deal in 2003 that brought Waterford Commons in for $35.7 million.
