As the former regional president of GVA Advantis, Ford oversaw the firm's business in Georgia and the Carolinas, and is expected to bring his working relationships with commercial asset owners to his new position. He will be responsible for overseeing and growing Transwestern's leasing, management and investment sales efforts in the Southeast and will take a leading role in integrating the company's sustainability services.
Transwestern continuously takes actions to look out for environment by educating team members about sustainability and providing clients with energy efficient solutions for their properties, Ford tells GlobeSt.com. The firm officers sustainability as one of its owner services to help enhance the value of projects and to be good environmental citizens by improving the environmental quality of buildings and ultimately obtaining LEED certification by the US Green Building Council.
In addition, Ford will also serve as chief operations officer of the Atlanta and South Florida offices, totaling 150 employees. He will support Jim Ledbetter, president of Transwestern's Southeast region, allowing him to pursue growth opportunities for the company through partnerships, acquisitions and expansion of personnel.
"I was attracted to Transwestern because of the opportunity to help partner in growing the Southeast region," says Ford. "The region has tremendous potential to grow in terms of expanding its client base as well as developing new relationships that would be attracted to our service platform. My hope and plan is to drive the business development effort and owner services of this high-quality, customer-driven firm."
