The building is situated at 3902 E. Air Lane Dr. on a little more than two acres, adjacent to the western edge of Sky Harbor International Airport. According to a press release about the acquisition, the Air Cargo Center is the only multi-tenant building in the submarket with direct access to the airport. Mesa Airlines Inc. is the lead tenant in the 1980s-era building.

Erik Marsh with Encino, CA-based Marcus & Millichap Real Estate Investment Services' Phoenix team brokered the transaction. The seller had acquired the building in 2006 for $2.9 million.

According to Los Angeles-based Saber Realty's website, principals Greg Sackler and John Bertram are looking for both core and undervalued assets throughout California, Arizona, Colorado, Texas and Costa Rica. In Greater Phoenix, the partners own a mix of retail, office and industrial assets, including the 134,334-sf Carleton Park, an industrial development in Tempe; 55,665-sf Clearview Commons, a mix of office and retail straddling Mesa and Magnolia; and a 100,500-sf warehouse in Phoenix.
