CBRE Names Cindy Burger to Lead Asset Services

Burger brings almost 10 years of experience in the Orange County market. At Cushman & Wakefield, she was based in Irvine and was responsible for managed properties in the office, industrial and retail sectors in Orange, Los Angeles and San Diego counties. At the Irvine Co., she spent five years as a property manager overseeing a 1.9-million-sf class A office portfolio at Newport Center.

Burger will be based in CBRE's Newport Beach office. She will report to Jeff Moore, senior managing director for Orange County, as well as to Katz, who was promoted in May to senior managing director of asset services for the western division of CBRE.

Burger's hiring and appointment to the asset services post is the latest in a series of promotions and appointments at CBRE in Orange County that began in March when the company named Dave Pogue, formerly western region senior managing director of asset services, to the newly created position of national director of sustainability for institutional and corporate services. As sustainability director, he is responsible for managing the development, introduction and implementation of a wide range of sustainable practices and policies throughout the firm's 1.1-billion-sf Americas portfolio of managed properties.

After Pogue's move into the sustainability post, CBRE named Katz to succeed Pogue as head of the Los Angeles-based company's western division for asset services. As senior managing director of asset services for the western division, Katz has responsibility for overseeing approximately 265 million sf of space under management in Los Angeles, San Diego, Orange County, Las Vegas, Phoenix, Portland, Sacramento, San Francisco, Denver, Hawaii, Seattle, Salt Lake City, Albuquerque, and Fresno.
