Moore, who formerly was vice president of operations at Rudolph & Sletten, will oversee all aspects of operations of the 175-person firm to include oversight of operations, contract negotiations and marketing. Moore will work with the corporate team in providing strategic vision and direction for Irvine-based Olson, which maintains ongoing relationships with clients such as Marriott International, Hilton Hotels, Hyatt Hotels & Resorts, Sunstone Hotel Investors, Inc., Morton's the Steakhouse and Benihana.

Moore's background includes "overseeing construction of some of the California's most prominent facilities," comments Robert Olson, CEO/founder of R.D. Olson Construction. In his 30-year career in construction, Moore is credited with managing many large complex projects including the $450-million patient tower at Childrens Hospital Los Angeles; the 340,000-sf replacement hospital for the City of Hope; a recent expansion of Bakersfield Memorial Hospital and several California State University facilities. As a one-of-a-kind project, he oversaw construction of the Cal Poly San Luis Obispo Performing Arts Center—a 1300-seat concert hall that is known for its unique design and outstanding acoustics.

R.D. Olson Construction was founded in 1979 and has grown into one of the top 50 general contracting firms in California. Its projects have included Marriott Newport Coast Villas, Newport Beach; Ojai Valley Inn & Spa Resort; and three Marriott Residence Inns in Burbank, Oceanside and Long Beach.

Its most recent completions include the new 19-story Hotel Palomar, Westwood; and Renaissance ClubSport, Aliso Viejo. Additionally, the company has completed more than 300 major brand restaurants nationwide. Current California projects under construction include the LodgeWorks' boutique hotel, the AVIA Long Beach; Marriott's Shadow Ridge, Palm Desert; and the Four Season's Hotel, Los Angeles renovation.
