The new Trader Vic's will join a host of other sports, retail and entertainment offerings at the L.A. Live development, which is under way across from the Staples Center. Other restaurants opening at L.A. Live include ESPN Zone, the Farm of Beverly Hills, Fleming's Steak House and Wine Bar, Katsuya, Lawry's Carvery, New Zealand Natural Ice Cream, Rosa Mexicano, Starbucks, Wolfgang Puck Bar and Grill, Yard House, and the newly signed Rock'N Fish.

Trader Vic's at L.A. LIVE will host live entertainment, including Polynesian dancers and singers. The new Trader Vic's will be the latest L.A. installation of the eatery, which was founded in 1934 by Victor J. "Trader Vic" Bergeron. Bergeron helped to popularize the tiki culture and is known as the creator of the Mai Tai, one of many rum-based drinks available on the Trader Vic's menu.
