The company has hired Karim Habra, Christopher Zeuner and Petr Kosar from GE Real Estate, where they had already worked in this region. Habra will become managing director, Central and Eastern Europe, while Zeuner will be director and Kosar a VP. The team will start work in November, and will be responsible for growing the Central and Eastern Europe business and working with commercial real estate partners and investors in the regions such as here, Poland, Hungary, Romania, Bulgaria, Slovakia, Serbia, Croatia and Turkey.

GE officials could not be reached for comment about their departure. Habra led the GE team that transacted 80 retail, office, industrial and residential projects in the region.

The move continues the push by the company to hire experts in other countries. In April, the firm announced the opening of offices in Latin America and the Middle East. "Our investors are looking for new opportunities and diversification of assets," a JER spokesman tells GlobeSt.com. "There are very attractive emerging global markets, where retail, residential and office is in limited supply. In these locations, the demographics are shifting to more disposable income, and more individuals are looking for better housing and shopping."
