What is still unclear is the fate of Lehman's other commercial real estate assets. Some industry experts are saying that they expect a buying frenzy to take place with these properties.

Lehman's headquarters, at 745 Seventh Ave., is a one-million-sf tower that was acquired by the investment bank in 2001 and opened in 2002. The 32-story building was codeveloped by Morgan Stanley and the Rockefeller Group.
