Virco's headquarters is a concrete tilt-up structure featuring 50,640 sf of office space, 31 feet of warehouse clear height, 35 truck-high loading positions and on-site parking for more than 500 vehicles. Virco employs approximately 425 workers at the site.

Publicly held Virco is a leading maker and supplier of furniture and equipment for K-12 schools. Commenting on the lease extension, Bob Dose, Virco's chief financial officer, said: "Virco's West Coast location provides lead-time and service advantages to our many education customers west of the Rockies, despite short-term budget issues affecting expenditures by schools."

A green benefit of the lease extension involves continuing to minimize fuel consumption for deliveries, especially compared to competitors located outside this region, Dose points out. In recognition of its industry-leading recycling and resource recovery achievements, Virco has received numerous awards and commendations, including designation as a charter member of the US Environmental Protection Agency's WasteWise Hall of Fame.
