Developers of the business park, identified as RP Technology Development Group, include Lang Investments' Robert Gerbitz and George B. Erwin III. Briohn Building Corp. and Zilber Ltd. are also partners.
The venture plans to build up to five office properties, including the RedPrairie building, reportedly totaling about 310,000 sf. Gerbitz could not be reached for comment. The spokeswoman tells GlobeSt.com that the new building will accommodate up to 500 employees. "We're a growing company, and split between two buildings as we are now, it's important to us to find a location to consolidate into one site," he says. The spokeswoman refused to comment on how much space the company currently occupies in Brookfield.
The four-story RedPrairie building will reportedly be expandable to 180,000 sf. The company had reportedly been considering other locations to expand, including Milwaukee, where former CEO John Jazwiec lives. He resigned in 2007. Current CEO Michael Mayoras lives in Delafield. "Simply put, we find this to be the best balance of location, amenities and cost," Mayoras said in a statement.
