Lynn Driver, president and CEO of the organization, said the move will provide expanded space for staff training, laboratory facilities and a new communications center. "It will greatly improve training and technical space needs well into the future," she said in a statement. Her group is licensed by the state to conduct all organ procurements.
Tim O'Brien, president of Resource Commercial Real Estate, represented the group in the transaction. He says the 18-year-old building was purchased from McFadden Solutions. "They had been in desperate need of expansion space, they're vacating approximately 14,000 square feet," O'Brien tells GlobeSt.com.
He explained the long timeline, saying that the company wanted to get the exact fit it needed. "It seemed like a great fit, and it is about five minutes from Downtown," O'Brien says.
Office sales and lease activity has slowed considerably in the Indianapolis market, O'Brien says. "However, for well-capitalized and well-operated companies, getting the financing and closing on a transaction isn't really a problem," he says.
