The project will be developed by the New Argenta Fund of North Little Rock at Broadway and Maple Streets, the former site of a furniture store that closed in 2006. The flag has not been selected, but according to Arkansas Business Online, the operator will be a national one, which will be announced during the next few months.

According to a prepared statement from New Argenta Fund partner John Gaudin, the new hotel will be a complement to the already-in-existence 220-key Wyndham at 201 Main St. The Wyndham is owned by local company F.F. Hotels Inc. and is across the street from the future hotel's site.

The new project is part of the Argenta District, a historic district near downtown that is undergoing redevelopment. The hotel will also near the North Shore Riverwalk and Dickey-Stephens Ballpark, both of which see a great deal of pedestrian traffic.
