Bentall says the deal calls for SITQ to develop a 165,320-square-foot, six-story facility with underground parking that will connect via sky bridge to an adjacent building, and for T-Mobile to extend its lease for an additional 360,225 square feet of space through 2015. The financial details were not released by the parties involved and not otherwise immediately available.

Bentall Capital vice president Lisa Rowe says construction of the new building, Two Newport, will begin immediately after crews demolish the 25-year-old, 39,750-square-foot office building it will replace. The contractor, Seattle-based Sellen Construction, has begun preparations for razing the structure, Rose says. The project designer is Seattle-based LMN Architects.
