The Tribune-Review article quotes a spokesman for Gov. Ed Rendell, saying that the government could use tax breaks to attract companies to the site. Others quoted speculated that the plant could be broken in 200,000-square-foot sections to accommodate smaller tenants, used as warehouse space for a big-box retailer like Wal-Mart or become a facility for renewable-energy firms.
