Dunning's experience includes asset, property, facility, and project management, and leasing, development and financial reporting for office, retail, and industrial properties. He comes to C&W from Sierra Commercial, a real estate and facility services provider he founded in 2000 that is winding down its operations. Previous posts include Western Region GM for Kastle Systems, a provider of security solutions for building owners and tenants; SVP of Transwestern Commercial Services, responsible for its property management activities in the Western States, and SVP of Shuwa Management Corporation, responsible for the management, operation and renewal leasing of a $3 billion US real estate portfolio consisting primarily of high rise office buildings.

"C&W was looking for someone with a broad base of experience," Dunning tells GlobeSt.com. "In addition, having managed a very large class A office portfolio in the mid 1990s, a similar economic environment to today, that [particular] experience will come in handy for C&W and our clients."

Indeed, Dunning has served as a court-appointed receiver for multiple receiverships including the one-million-square-foot mixed-use Citicorp Center (now E & Y Plaza) in downtown Los Angeles; and his management portfolio has included such prominent properties as ARCO Plaza (now City National Plaza) in Los Angeles; 1900-1901 Avenue of The Stars (Century City); Taco Bell Headquarters (Irvine); Quaker Tower (Chicago); (former) ITT World Headquarters (New York); Paine Webber Building (Boston); and the US News and World Report Building (Washington, DC).

Given that experience, Dunning also is part of C&W's newly formed resolution group, which utilizes internal experts from all service lines to assist lenders, owners and prospective buyers with distressed properties. In addition to all that, Dunning is currently serving his second term as Los Angeles chapter president of the International Facility Management Association. Until recently he also taught Fundamentals of Commercial Real Estate at UCLA Extension.
