The five-building development will be called Glen Burnie Crossing. The first three buildings, totaling 100,000-square feet, appear to be developed on spec based on the company's announcement – however St. John Properties was unable to return a call to GlobeSt.com in time for publication to confirm that. These three building--which will also have 16 foot clear ceilings, and drive through space with bay sizes starting at 2520 square feet of space--will deliver in Q3 of 2009. Construction on the remaining two buildings will be timed with leasing velocity at the park, the company says.
There is an untapped demand for an automotive-oriented business park, according to Jerry Wit, SVP of Marketing and Leasing. The project will also appeal to a variety of other industries that are looking for a location in central Anne Arundel County, he also says in a prepared statement. "This sub-market is healthy and growing and we are talking with a number of potential tenants to kick-start our leasing," Wit says.
