Located on John McCormack Rd., Opus Hall will house 402 students. Each suite has one double and three single bedrooms, a common living room, and bathroom. Each floor also has a common kitchen and meeting space.
The building has been designed to meet LEED standards--an increasingly frequent requirement among universities and colleges. For instance, Grand Valley State University in Grand Rapids is moving forward on a $52.- million expansion of its student living, which will be designed to green standards, according to local press accounts. Sacramento State is also building to sustainable standards. In Georgia, Emory University's Silver LEED certified Turman Hall won awards for its sustainable features.
