Stoneleigh II--a five-story, 106,845-square-foot office building--is one of six that Normandy owns in the Route 28 submarket. All together, the company has more than 450,000 square feet of space under its control in this submarket. Normandy did not return a call to GlobeSt.com in time for publication.
This lease caps off a solid year for Normandy in the DC corridor: the company increased its occupancy levels by 6.3% year-over-year--a 183,700-square-foot increase that is generating $42 million in revenues.
Stoneleigh II is one of the 10 buildings in the US Army/Air Force Mutual Aid Association's 786,632-square-foot portfolio, called Starco Properties, which Normandy acquired at the end of 2006. It was vacant when the company acquired it, Normandy told GlobeSt.com in an earlier interview. Then last July it inked a 47,797-square-foot lease with the Teaching Co.
