Boyd says that Linc considered some other locations for its new facilities but decided on the 152 Technology building for a number of reasons, primarily its location and the fact that it best fit the company's needs. In addition, he says that having the Irvine Co. as the building owner was a factor because, "It is a very solid and stable landlord, and that is a consideration in today's environment." Terms of the deal were not disclosed, but Boyd says that it included a healthy tenant improvement package.
Boyd points out that the Linc Group is one of the most successful companies in its field. From its headquarters in Irvine and other locations throughout the US, the company provides facilities management, HVAC maintenance, building systems solutions and lighting installation and maintenance systems and electrical services to thousands of commercial, government and residential customers worldwide.
In addition, the company provides green solutions that help commercial clients attain LEED and Energy Star certification and reduce carbon emissions. It also provides services including power distribution, lighting design and installation, wiring and other products and services to assist residential customers in lowering their energy usage and utility bills.
