Meanwhile, O&S Holdings, developer of the 221-room McKinney Westin Hotel, might have a shot at funding to complete the project it started about a year ago. McKinney City Manager Frank Ragan said at a February 21 city council meeting that the Dallas developer could find the needed financing, well in excess of $16 million, to get the hotel portion completed. Ragan said the retail portion was off the table right now, however.
O&S broke ground during February 2008 on the Bridge Street Town Centre<, a $200-million project that was to hold the McKinney Westin Hotel and a retail component. However, the developer ran out of money last fall, leaving the hotel uncompleted. Read more here.
