The company, which opened its doors in 1997 in 750 square feet currently operates out of 10,000 square feet in DeSoto. Additionally, Warrior Group just opened shop in a Fort Worth CBD office. Company president Gail Warrior-Lawrence tells GlobeSt.com that the reason for the expansion is because of growing opportunities in Forth Worth. The Joint Reserve Base childcare expansion project is one of many.
"There are some opportunities we're looking at with the Fort Worth Independent School District and others," Warrior-Lawrence says. "There's a lot of growth in that area. Actually, during the past 18 months, we've done more of a focus on Dallas-Fort Worth, period." The initial staff in the Fort Worth office is three project managers, and Warrior-Lawrence says more employees will be hired as the number of projects dictates.
Also planned is an office in Atlanta, GA, though right now the Georgia operations consist of a sales person. Warrior-Lawrence says she wants to get office space in the area in an effort generate more business in Georgia.
Furthermore, during Q2 2009, Warrior Group will open an office in San Antonio. "One of our largest projects, Fort Sam Houston, is down there," Warrior-Lawrence comments. Warrior Group is currently developing housing for troops at the base. That, combined with other potential public sector projects spurred the move," Warrior-Lawrence comments.
"San Antonio is a key city, we're already there, and we already have a staff down there," she adds. "As we grow in the health care and education markets, we'll add to our employee base."
