The nine story, 350,000-square-foot building was built in 1965 after Rohm and Haas moved from its former Washington Square base. It was designed by notable architect Pietro Belluschi.
At the beginning of the year, Rohm and Haas announced it was laying off just over 900 people in North America. Layoffs in the Philadelphia area as a result of the Dow merger have not yet been determined. Rohm and Hass also operates facilities in Bristol, Croydon, Reading and Spring House. Dow also recently sold off Morton Salt.
