The hotel, located at 12601 W. 95th St. in Lenexa, KS, is owned by Lenexa Hotel LP and managed by SJC V LLC, thanks to an agreement with InterContinental Hotels Group.
Renovations focused mostly on the public areas and guest rooms. One of the major investments was implementing the Crowne Plaza Sleep Advantage program. This not only includes new bedding but also encompasses the entire environment with designated quiet zones, night lights and guaranteed wake-up calls.
The Crowne Plaza now has 18,000 square feet of meeting space and six presidential suites, which include a living room, dining room and two LCD flat-screen TVs.
Other amenities now include wireless internet access, an indoor swimming pool, Bistro Cafe and business center.
The location of the Crowne Plaza is ideal, according to company officials. Many major attractions are within a short drive of the hotel, including the Overland Park Convention Center, the University of Kansas Medical Center, Applebees corporate headquarters and downtown Kansas City.
