The event, which raises millions of dollars for Jewish and non-sectarian causes, is described this year as "one of the largest gatherings of this kind in the city since the recession began."

Auerbach, founder and president of the Ernest Auerbach Co., started the company in 1947 and built it into one of Southern California's leading builder/developers, specializing in construction, management and financing.

[IMGCAP(3)]Black, founder of Black Equities Group Ltd., Stanley and his partner Arthur Kaplan established KB Management in the mid-1950's. The company became one of the dominant office developers in Southern California. In 1988, Black established Black Equities Group to invest primarily in commercial properties throughout the US.

[IMGCAP(4)]Boxenbaum, former chairman and CEO of National Partnership Investments, in 1966 founded NAPICO, a syndicator and asset manager in the apartment housing field.

Goldrich, principal of Goldrich & Kest Industries LLC, he has built a diversified company that is one of the most successful developers of homes, condominiums, conventional apartments, low-income housing, big box industrial buildings, retail centers and assisted living facilities.

The Real Estate & Construction Division is the largest business division at the Jewish Federation, with more than 1,000 members who meet regularly to network, do business, discuss industry trends and conduct philanthropic work. The Jewish Federation of Greater Los Angeles, L.A.'s largest Jewish nonprofit, identifies and funds social service, educational and humanitarian needs locally, in Israel and around the world.
