The new building, called the Huntington Pavilion, will be located at 625 Fair Oaks Ave. and will be the first new outpatient services building to be developed on the hospital's campus in more than 20 years. According to Bernadette Merlino, vice president of the Ambulatory Service Line Development at Huntington Hospital, the hospital sought a building that would be close to Huntington Hospital so that it could place its outpatient services under one roof.
The multi-level building is a combination of three- and four-story elements, featuring twin lobbies and a six-story, 700-space parking structure. Construction started in fall 2007 and the expected completion date is July 1.
Along with physician practices, the hospital is a major tenant in the building. The facility is currently 65% leased, with an additional 15% of the space under negotiation.
Huntington Memorial Hospital is a 636-bed facility with 900 staff physicians and dentists and more than 3,000 employees. The hospital, which serves the San Gabriel Valley and beyond, operates advanced research and treatment centers and maintains a teaching affiliation with the University of Southern California Keck School of Medicine.
