The interesting part of this request is that previously in total only $598 million in TIF incentives have been approved by the city.

McKee has a 20-year plan to renovate the 1,800-acre area. The project includes the construction of three police substations, three firehouses, as well as new residences and business locations. Current plans have charted space for 2,200-single family homes and 439 million square feet of retail. It's estimated McKee's plan will cost $8 billion.
