Herrema will also join the Kennedy Wilson executive committee and will be based in the company's New York City office, which will open simultaneously with his appointment, according to William J. McMorrow, chairman and CEO of the real estate services and investment firm. McMorrow says that in his new post, Herrema will help to raise private and institutional capital, source deals, assist with investor relations and manage other strategic initiatives.
Herrema's 30-year professional career in the financial services industry began with Wells Fargo Bank, where he spent almost 15 years serving in a variety of senior management positions in the commercial and real estate lending areas, culminating in the presidency of Wells Fargo Securities. He later became COO and CEO of Bessemer Trust in New York.
[IMGCAP(2)]Gatti, formerly an executive director and principal with Cushman & Wakefield, will co-lead the expansion of Jones Lang LaSalle's West Los Angeles office leasing presence and tenant representation practice with JLL managing director and 30-year veteran Mike McRoskey. Both are based in the firm's West Los Angeles corporate office at 2049 Century Park East in Century City.
At Cushman & Wakefield, Gatti specialized in both tenant representation and agency leasing in the Westside and Greater Los Angeles markets. His hiring is part of JLL's continued strategic expansion in Southern California, according to Jan Pope, Jones Lang LaSalle's Southern California market director.
