The lease, believed to be five years in length, commences this fall when Whirlpool's lease for the same space will expire, keeping the building 100% occupied. The remainder of the building is occupied by electronics retailer Best Buy.
Kimberly-Clark describes itself as a global health and hygiene company. Its negotiated lease rate was not immediately available but the asking rate for the space was $0.35 per square foot per month. The lease includes approximately 12,000 square feet of office build-out, for which the asking rate was $0.75 per square foot per month.
AMB Property Corp. is a publicly traded company based in San Francisco. The company declined comment beyond its press release.
AMB's East Valley Warehouse is located at 22003 84th Ave. S. AMB's portfolio of operating and development properties in the area totals approximately 8.6 million square feet.
