"The Ramada brand is currently Wyndham Hotel Group's second largest brand in China and, as such, plays a vital role in our efforts to expand and gain market share in the country," says Tom Monahan, Wyndham Hotel Group EVP of international development. "With the continuous addition of high quality properties and committed development partners like Chongqing Huadi Wangchoa Hotel Co., Wyndham Hotel Group and the Ramada brand are well positioned to maintain steady growth throughout the country."

The Ramada Plaza Dazu, which is already under construction, will contain 255 rooms in the nine-story structure. Amenities will include two restaurants, an executive lounge, business center, fitness center, swimming pool as well as meeting space and a ballroom. The hotel is expected to open in the first quarter of 2010.

The Ramada Plaza Hechuan will break ground in the next couple months. The nine-story hotel will host 250 rooms and many of the same amenities the Plaza Dazu will contain.

Ramada has been busy expending its presence in the Chinese market place, with the development of more than eight new hotels over the last several years. This aggressive expansion plan has added more than 3,300 rooms to the market.
