"Although there are a number of available retail space options in the Stamford CBD, there are very few prime restaurant vacancies, and even fewer that are being offered fully equipped and ready to operate," says Jessica Curtis of CB Richard Ellis. "This is a rare opportunity to purchase or lease a building with a turn-key restaurant operation already in place."
The property is up for lease or a possible sale, but the options are wide-ranging, Curtis explains to GlobeSt.com. Since the property it technically two building that are attached, each can be leased or sold individually, as well as a whole. The lease rates are negotiable, she explains, but the average asking rate for Stamford's CBD is $35 to $40 per square foot for office and are comparable for retail in the area, as well.
The CBD-located property was home to Bennett's Stake and Fish House, a local famed eatery owned by NBA referee Bennet Salvatore. However, the restaurant portion of the property remains vacant. CBRE's private client group and retail services group are handling the sale and/or lease. Al Mirin, Silvia Pogosyan and Curtis of CBRE are taking the lead.
